Our Sanctuary Animals

Some rescues enter our care, but for a number of reasons including, type of animal, age, health status, or behavioral management, their chances of adoption are incredibly low. These animals are cared for entirely off of donations and are with “furever fosters”. Animals on this page are NOT taking applications, but can always use your support!

  • Milo

Meet Milo, a senior Jack Russell. He came into rescue as his previous owner passed away. He is blind, deaf, and doesn’t do well with any other animals in the home. His foster family loves him dearly, and for that reason he’s transitioned to sanctuary.

  • Elizabeth

Oh Lizzy! This little gal was found as a stray in terrible shape. Her ears were so swollen from infection that they stuck straight out. She has been a complicated medical gal since we got her! Once we got her multiple infections to stable condition, she went to get spayed. Her recovery was ROUGH, poor girl!

After she recovered, her infections came back with an vengeance. It took several months to get a routine that keeps her skin issues at bay. Several medicated baths each week with a special diet and meds and allergy shots.

Once she was finally stable again, this little 4 year old got cataracts! She had surgery to fix that but she has a very high likelihood of early cataracts in her other eye.

Due to her complex medical history she was placed on sanctuary.

  • Harlow

Harlow is possibly the spiciest Chihuahua to ever exist- and that’s saying something! She is incredibly selective of humans with it taking several months or longer to get used to new faces. She sasses you from the moment she meets you.

IF she loves you, she LOVES you and can’t contain her joy. Her foster home loves her, and due to her extreme selectiveness she is on sanctuary.
